2. When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets are on sale now through Etix. (They went on sale Oct 25, 2014). 



3. Where can I get tickets and how much do they cost?

Tickets are $55 Thursday and Sunday
Tickets are $65 Friday and Saturday
Tickets are ON SALE NOW through Etix. Shows sell out quickly so it is advisable to purchase them in advance. Tickets will be available at the door if the show is not sold out.

4. Are all of the Buddy shows 21+?
No! This year, for the first time ever, we’ve made one of the Sunday shows 13+ with parent/legal guardian present. The only 13+ Buddy show will be Sunday January 11, 2015. The rest of the Buddy shows will remain 21+. Please read the below policy carefully. 

13+ show entry policy: 
Minors 13+ will be allowed entry with parent/legal guardian and valid ticket purchase for Sunday Jan 11, 2015. IF PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN IS NOT PRESENT, ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 WILL BE DENIED ENTRY AT THE DOOR. ALL TICKETS SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds and no exchanges. Same seating policy applies. Please review your order carefully before purchase. Bar seating is 21+. All patrons 21+ who wish to consume alcohol will receive a wristband on Sun January 11, 2015.

8. Can I purchase tickets at Legends?
Yes. We will have a LIMITED number of tickets available for each Buddy show at the club for WALK-INS ONLY. These tickets cannot be put on hold or purchased over the phone. They must be purchased in-person at the club. January tickets can be purchased at the merchandise counter any time the club is open. 

9. Can I purchase tickets through the club over the phone?

No. Legends will not sell tickets over the phone. All January tickets must be purchased online through Etixor in-person at the club. We will have a limited amount of tickets available for purchase at our box office for each show. We WILL NOT put tickets on hold over the phone for later pick-up.  



10. Can I bring my son/daughter to Buddy’s show if they are not yet 21?

11. What is the earliest time I can get into the club to get a seat?

12. What do I do if I have a medical condition and can’t stand for long periods of time?

Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming presence of customers, we will not be able to accommodate any special seating requests. We advise that you arrive as early as possible to get a seat.  Please note that the club is wheelchair accessible.



13. Can I reserve a table for dinner?
No, we do not take reservations. All January tickets are GENERAL ADMISSION, which means that even with advance purchase of tickets, seating is not guaranteed and tables fill up quickly. Please see seating policy in Question #11. 

14. Can I save a table for my friends if I get there earlier?
No. It is not possible to save any additional tables (other than the one where you are seated) for guests who have not yet arrived.

15. Is smoking or vaporizing allowed in the club?

No. Legends is a smoke-free environment. Vaporizers are also prohibited. 



16. If I leave can I come back in?

Yes. You will be permitted to go in and out of the club with your ticket stub and the stamp on your hand.



17. Do you have a coat check?

Yes! Our coat check will be located on the 2nd floor. Buddy Guy’s Legends is not responsible for lost or stolen items.



18. Can I take photos during the show?

Still photos are allowed (no flash please), but audio/video recording is strictly prohibited - This policy is enforced!



19. How late is the kitchen open?

In January, the kitchen will close as soon as Buddy takes the stage.

20. Can Buddy sign my CD/poster/T-shirt, etc?

While we cannot make any guarantees, Buddy has been known to stick around after his set and take photos/sign merchandise at the merch counter in the front of the club.



22. Where is the best place to park?

There are many "Pay to Park" spots on the surrounding streets. There are also several outdoor parking lots and indoor garages within walking distance of the club. Unfortunately, Legends does NOT have a parking lot for patrons.



23. Where is Legends located?

Buddy Guy's Legends is located at 700 S. Wabash Ave, on the south west corner of Balbo and Wabash.



24. What is the nearest CTA / Metra station?

From the Red Line, Harrison stop - Exit the platform toward Harrison Street. Walk one block south on State to Balbo. Walk one block east on Balbo to the corner of Wabash and Balbo.
From the Green/Orange Line, Roosevelt stop - Walk half a block east on Roosevelt to Wabash. Walk 4 blocks north to the corner of Wabash and Balbo.
From the Brown/Purple Line, Library stop - Walk east on Van Buren roughly 1 or 2 blocks to Wabash. Walk south on Wabash 4 blocks to the corner of Wabash and Balbo.
Metra trains arrive from The Millenium Park Metra Station at 151 N. Michigan, or from Chicago Union Station at 210 S. Canal. Both train stations are within cab/walking distance. Check your local train times.



25. I made a mistake on my Etix ticket order! Can I get a refund or exchange?
No. In January, we have a strict policy of no refunds and no exchanges on ticket purchases. For this reason, our policy is stated on every purchase order before you can buy tickets. We ask that you review your ticket order carefully.

26. Can I get a refund if the opening band changes after purchase?

In the event that an opening band is rescheduled, a refund will not be issued. All opening bands are subject to change. In the event that Buddy is unable to perform, a full refund will be issued.



27. I selected the "Print at Home" option for my tickets and I never received an email. Who should I contact?
Issues such as this with the Etix ticketing system need to go through Etix Ticket Purchaser Support. You can email them at support@etix.com or give them a call at 1-800-514-3849 ext 4.

28. I selected the "Will Call" option for my tickets. Can I pick them up early?
With the Will Call option, the purchasers name will be added to a list. There are no physical tickets to pick up at Will Call. When you arrive, the door guys will check your ID, cross you off the list, and stamp your hand. Be sure to bring a picture ID in order to claim your tickets at Will Call.

 
Can I reserve a table for dinner and a performance?
Legends does not accept reservations. All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and we recommend arriving early!
On a weeknight, tables usually fill up between 7:30-8PM.
On a Friday or Saturday, tables can fill up as early as 6-7PM.

Where can I buy tickets to attend the show?
You can simply pay the cover charge at the door the night of the show. The cover charge is $10 Sunday-Thursday and $20 on Fridays and Saturdays (excluding special events. Subject to change).

If I purchase tickets online in advance and I’ve selected Will Call, can I pick them up early?
No. If you purchase tickets through Etix and you select Will Call, your name will be added to a list. When you give your name to the door guys upon arrival, they will check your name off the list and stamp your hand. There are no physical tickets that can be picked up ahead of time.

Can I still pay the cover charge at the door if I don’t want to buy tickets online?
Yes, you can still simply pay the cover charge at the door. Buying tickets in advance and paying the cover charge is the same thing. Buying tickets in advance just guarantees that you will be able to get in the door.

How much is the cover charge?
$10 Sunday-Thursday;
$20 Friday-Saturday;
Prices are subject to change.

When does Buddy play at the club?
Buddy performs in the club every January.

Can I take pictures or use a video camera during performances?

I am under 21. Can I come to Legends for the main show?

Does Legends have a coat check?
Legends does not offer coat check.

Is parking available?
We do not have parking for patrons, however there are “Pay to Park” spots located on the surrounding streets and multiple parking garages located within blocks of the club.

How can I purchase Legends merchandise?
To order online, please visit our Shop. You can also visit the merchandise booth located next to the club’s entrance.  If you would like to order merchandise over the phone, we can ship via UPS to your location; please call 312-427-1190. Shipping fees apply.

I have a band and we are interested in playing at Legends. Who do I contact?
As a Blues club, Legends only books Blues artists. If you are interested in performing on our stage, please contact Mark Maddox at mmaddox@buddyguy.com.

We also have a weekly Monday night Blues jam at 9:00PM; if you plan on attending, you must bring your own instrument. See next FAQ for more info.


Do you have an open mic night at Legends?
We host an open Blues jam every Monday night at 9:00PM. You can come in to sign up any time before 9:00PM on Monday. If you sign up to play, you get in free of charge and you also get a guest in for half off ($5). The host band will play for about an hour and then they will begin inviting other musicians up on stage. We ask that you bring your own instrument/drumsticks.

How do I book Legends for my event?

Did Legends move to a new location?
Yes! The original club was at the corner of Wabash and 8th Street, but in June of 2010, we moved one block up the street to 700 S. Wabash, the corner of Wabash and Balbo.

 
Does Buddy Guy hang out at Legends?
If Buddy is in town, he can normally be spotted at the bar.

When does Buddy play at the club?
Buddy performs in the club every January – He plays about 16 shows throughout the month and they sell out quickly!

How can I book Buddy to play at my event/venue?
